ANCIENNE GARE & PUBLIC SPACE
TUESDAY 24. 6. 19:00 OPENING
27.6 - 5.7 2008
Mis-Guided is a passport to a momentarily paused city, a hairline fracture in the spectacle, a fly in the sun cream, an ease in the traffic, a whisper in the crowd.
Mis-Guided is six artists' interventions in the urban process - elevating, offering, demolishing, de-centring, hijacking and boxing.
For this year's Contest the Belluard Bollwerk International, the British group Wrights & Sites and the Pour-cent culturel Migros looked for playful, cultural, political, seductive, sensual and/or radical 'mis-guided' proposals that disrupt one or more existing spatial frameworks in order to uncover a hidden or unrealised side of the city of Fribourg.
Out of 276 proposals, six will be realised during the Belluard Festival: artists' interventions in the urban process, that elevate, offer, demolish, de-centre, hijack or box.
The heart of the Mis-Guided project is the Mis-Information office, where you can find information, start a tour, get a map, or meet the artists.
