By incorporating sculpture and the flipbook, Gregory Barsamian's installations are both breathtaking and nightmarish. Inanimate objects are transformed or move magically before your very eyes. A floating cherub becomes a helicopter, and then is once more a cherub; a plane becomes a winged penis; hands rub together and drop an egg on a face.
Simply using optical tricks, we are faced with Barsamian's interior world.
