Gob Squad is a collective of German and British artists. Since 1994, they have been performing, making films and installations. They are presenting their last 2 projects at the BBI: Super Night Shot and Room Service.
Super Night Shot is the film of a performance that just happened, in Fribourg, 60 minutes prior to show time. Four people want to live out their dreams; the town becoming the backdrop to their mission. They dream about heroes, of the desire to shine, or about wanting to be abducted by aliens. Their mission: to find a stranger who would accept to be kissed, on the mouth, for 3 minutes. The four actors, sometimes dressed up as cats or rabbits, walk around camera in hand. The end result is a video projection showing their four points of view simultaneously. It is a film about loneliness, fantasy and pop-culture clichs.
