In Once upon a time in Petaouchnok Nada Gambier pictures an absurd micro society using ordinary actions and movements: an imaginary place with its own way of living. Life in Petaouchnok appears to be, in its total absence of even the least bit of excitement, surprisingly familiar, no matter how artificial and surreal the scenes unraveling in front of our eyes may be. It is all of an alarming ordinarity. A reflection on the banal and wonder at the same time of ordinary people and their normal lives.
Nada invited 'ordinary' people to be on stage with her.
